settle · trade · mind the cat
Colonists.
An island has come up on the charts, and the harbour survey office has exactly one table. Settle it on paper: roads, villages, towns, the first ten points. The office cat sits on the map wherever she likes, and nothing under her gets done.

These rules on one page
Build the first ten-point colony.
Everyone places two settlements, each with a road beside it, in order and then in reverse order. Your second settlement collects one good from every earning tile around it. After that, a turn is: optionally play one older development card, roll two dice, then build, trade and end your turn.
Earning. Every tile with the rolled number pays the settlements on its corners one good, and cities two.
Building. Road: Timber + Clay. Settlement: Timber + Clay + Fleece + Grain. City: 3 Ore + 2 Grain, on top of a settlement. Development card: Ore + Fleece + Grain. Choose what to build at the bottom of the table, then where on the chart.
Trading. Four of one good buys one of another from the bank; harbours improve that to three, or to two for their own good. You may also post an offer to the other founders.
The cat. The rules call her the raider. On a seven, every hand over seven cards discards half; then the roller moves her to a new tile and takes one random card from a founder beside it. Her tile earns nothing while she sits there.
Development cards. Patrol moves the raider and counts toward the largest patrol. Road Crew places two free roads. Harvest takes two goods from the bank. Embargo collects one kind of good from every opponent. A Charter is one hidden point.
Points. Settlement 1, city 2, longest route (five roads or more) 2, largest patrol (three or more) 2, each Charter 1. Victory is checked only on your own turn.
Every corner, road and tile you may choose is a button on the chart with a full text label, and each choice also has a plain list under “Or pick from a list”, so the game can be played by keyboard or on a phone.
The table
Agnes, Bram and Dot fill empty chairs. They look for useful builds, play their cards and trade with the bank, but consistently decline offers from other founders. They are capable casual opponents, not experts.
Friends-first privacy
The original browser host is trusted and holds the complete match. Guests receive their own hand plus public counts only. Private state cannot move to another host. A disconnected human seat waits for reconnection; bots never silently replace it.
An original island and an original game in the settle-and-trade family. This edition is the complete base game described here, with no expansions.
